CX Cloud was created as a one-stop SaaS portal to give customers full visibility into their Cisco assets. AI/ML insights and telemetry combined to help customers onboard, optimize, and adopt new technologies. The Adoption Lifecycle was a particular area of focus for me — work which resulted in a patent for new business processes.
Managing Scale
As CX Cloud capabilities grew, the need for clear guidance on information systems, page types, and content structure became essential for maintaining alignment and user orientation across the platform.
Systems and Brand
Positioning CX Cloud within Cisco was an evolution: from a distinctive look and feel for the initial launch, to a robust independent design system, and ultimately, aligning with the core systems used by mature product spaces within Cisco.
Impact
By year 5, CX Cloud reached $1 billion in revenue. It had been built quickly and evolved with business and customer need so rapidly that the original architecture could no longer support it. CX Cloud reached end-of-availability in 2026, succeeded by Cisco IQ.
